Job Postings

I know, I got terribly lazy with keeping my blog up-to-date. In particular I am (so far?) not sharing any of the inside secrets from within Nokia, that would really boost my site traffic :-)

However, here is an announcement. After (successfully) developing a new allocation tool for Nokia’s global marketing budget, I will from now on focus on squeezing all kind of insights out of Nokia’s market research data assets (attitudinal, as well as behavioral kind). On the one hand, this certainly requires carrying out ad-hoc analyses on a per-request base. But, as you might imagine, this doesn’t scale well for a 60.000+ company. So, we also intend to build up a self-service analytical platform, which enables colleagues to gain a deeper consumer understanding on their own.

And therefore we are looking for smart, enthusiastic, eloquent data analysts to join the team. It is certainly seen as a plus if the skill set also includes information visualization, data querying and/or data transformation. Fortunately, with a global company like Nokia, we are quite flexible in terms of location (Finland, UK, Germany, etc.). So, in case that you know somebody who is gifted with according talents, please let him/her know about this posting!

In related news: “We” are also looking for Head of Consumer Portal, ie a manager for an intranet portal, that serves as a central hub for all consumer-related insights.

In totally unrelated news: Rumours are spreading that the CEO position is also open. However I couldn’t find this posting in Nokia’s internal HR tool, so I am not sure of how to apply :-)
