Nokia’s World (according to Google)
The following map displays the share of Google queries for Nokia (resp its variations) in relation to all other queries within each country [see Google Insight]. Note: In order to further highlight the regional differences, I increased the contrast of the colors of this chart.
On the one end of the color spectrum we find countries with huge populations, such as India, Pakistan and Indonesia (but not China) in dark blue, and on the other end we have the US and Japan shaded in a very light color. Interestingly also Russia and large parts of Africe are in dark colors.
In comparison, the according chart for Apple looks as if the brightness levels had been inverted.
